Hi everyone! Well, I've made to leap into blogging.....Let's see if I can keep up.
As my profile notes, I LOVE CRAFTING. That being said, I have settled, for the time being, to paper crafting such as scrapbooking, cards and rubber stamping. I have an awesome group of friends and we regularly get together and share a day of fun and now and then add a glass of wine into the mix. Nope, haven't turned out any pages that I don't know what they are yet! (Not enough wine I guess...will have to work on that one!)
I am adding giving classes into my life. At one time I taught painting, now I am going to share small scrapbook album making. The classes are always full of laughter, (a little gossip), and of course an awesome product to take home with you along with all the extra goodies to add to your book in your own leisure time. I think I "added" several hours worth to my new fairy scrapbook the other day. That class was loads of fun and I took it at "Toadilly Scrappin" in Gig Harbor.
So, be on the look-out for new classes. They will be once or twice a month as my time allow. I will post pictures of the project for February 27th from 1pm-5pm soon. (As soon as I get it finished and figure out how to upload pictures.) The classes are $15.00-35.00 depending on the size of the album and the number of albums. (sometimes we may do two albums in one class)
I am surely looking forward to springtime! My tulips are up about 4 inches and I saw one little daffodil leaf poking it's little 'finger' out of the soil the other day. I love the warm weather and hope that it sticks around a bit.
The squirrels are starting to prance around the yard, tease the dogs and race around the tree trunks (hmmmm wonder if they are just playing or .......!!) Oh well, I love the fuzzy little critters even if my two doggies don't. They love to chase them though. Then there is the mama raccoon that brings her babies every year. They are cute as buttons. Last year she thought she needed to live under the house but I fixed her wagon and blocked the entrance when she was "out and about". They love to wash their hands in the dog water dish. I found that out when I kept needing to change the water on a daily basis because it was always muddy!
I am also thinking that this may be the year I see the little fairies that live in the big cedar tree in the backyard.... Hey, you have to believe in them before you can see them. I will be watching and you will be among the first to know.....
Here's wishing everyone a very wonderful day. Keep your family and friends close for they will share the good times and help you through the bad times too.
Well, how did I do for my first post? Suggestions welcome for improvements to the blog and for class album ideas too.
Hope to see you all on the 27th from 1pm-5pm. The project is an album called Sunny Days, Good Times and Fine Friends. The cost for project is $25.00. Lots of embellishments, ribbons and room for your fun photos. Snacks will be served. You can email me at : tsurratt@wavecable.com for more information and address. Pre-payment is appreciated.
Love to all family, friends and friends I haven't met yet!
Terry
