Yippee!! 4 Days off just around the corner

I am looking forward to some days off.  A good friend is coming tomorrow (actually today now) to spend the afternoon visiting, catching up and doing a little craftiness hopefully.  I will work on cards or scrapbook pages.  We are so excited to be meeting because we haven't seen each other for toooooo long!!  Hurry up Nicole!

I also want to get a Stampin' Up! order ready to go so we have the paper we need to do an all Stampin' Up! scrapbook class.

I do love scrapbooking and have been collecting some ideas to make your scrapbook uniquely your own.  I will share them with you in class, but you have to take a class to get the ideas......hmmmm must be a marketing strategy.....!!

There is still room for 4 more crafty friends in the class scheduled the 27th of February.  This is a very cute album with lots of room for your pictures with 16 total pages.

The class scheduled for the 20th of March will be "double the benefit".  We are going to make a baby album for you to give away but the good part is that we will make second one for you to keep for yourself or give, whatever you choose.  Perfect for that new grandbaby, niece, or nephew.  Or....maybe you could individualize it for that new puppy or kitten you just adopted!  It would be so easy to add a few doggie or kittie embellishments to make it appropriate for "alternate" uses. The cost for this class will be $20.00 for two albums.

We had a great time at our Stampin' Up! monthly club meeting last Thursday.  We always have a nice time visiting, munching and making cards and scrapbook pages.  Thanks so much to Kim Becker, Stampin' Up! representative for always having cool projects for us to do.  This time we even had one from Michelle Williams who is also a representative.  You can find both of them on the Stampin' Up! website at :  http://www.stampinup.com/    Click on find a representative and type in their names. You'll find them.  If you have some friends that would like to form a monthly club, just contact either of them and they will help you out, or if you need to order product, they will order for you.

When I learn all the cool things this blog website can do I will have their links posted.  Give me time and I'll get it all down pat!

My dreaming of springtime doesn't seem to be having much influence over the colllddd weather we've been having.  Supposed to be down in the 20's around here at night.

Until next time: Dream your dreams and live your life and your dreams will become your life.
(Believe it or not that was said by.......me.)
Love to all, Terry

Able to lower the price for scrapbook on the 27th

Hello everyone,
It was a good day today.  I got a baby album done and it turned out really cute.  My niece will be able to fill it with many pictures of their new little one, Rylan.  (Pippi-as Grandma calls her).

The cost of the class on the 27th will be $25.00 (lowered because I could use a lot of supplies I had in stock).
It uses Stampin' Up!, Graphic 45 and misc. other supplies.  It turned out very cute and ended up with 16 pages that can be used for photos and journaling.  All of the embellishments are done. This is the perfect gift to that loved one who may not have time to make such a pretty album for themselves.

I hope everyone is enjoying the last vestiges of winter.  I am so ready for the weather to change to at least a little spring like.  We might have some snow in the next few days.  Actually the Farmers Almanac says we should be having a snow event in the last half of February.  I wonder how they do that????

I am enjoying a glass of Irish Cream.  Yum, Yum!  Time to relax..............

I hope to see a few of you at the class on the 27th.  We will have a great time.

'See ya' next time,
Terry

Brand New to Blogging

Hi everyone! Well, I've made to leap into blogging.....Let's see if I can keep up.
As my profile notes, I LOVE CRAFTING.  That being said, I have settled, for the time being, to paper crafting such as scrapbooking, cards and rubber stamping. I have an awesome group of friends and we regularly get together and share a day of fun and now and then add a glass of wine into the mix. Nope, haven't turned out any pages that I don't know what they are yet!  (Not enough wine I guess...will have to work on that one!)

I am adding giving classes into my life.  At one time I taught painting, now I am going to share small scrapbook album making.  The classes are always full of laughter, (a little gossip), and of course an awesome product to take home with you along with all the extra goodies to add to your book in your own leisure time.  I think I "added" several hours worth to my new fairy scrapbook the other day.  That class was loads of fun and I took it at "Toadilly Scrappin" in Gig Harbor.

So, be on the look-out for new classes. They will be once or twice a month as my time allow.  I will post pictures of the project for February 27th from 1pm-5pm soon.  (As soon as I get it finished and figure out how to upload pictures.) The classes are $15.00-35.00 depending on the size of the album and the number of albums.  (sometimes we may do two albums in one class)

I am surely looking forward to springtime!  My tulips are up about 4 inches and I saw one little daffodil leaf poking it's little 'finger' out of the soil the other day.  I love the warm weather and hope that it sticks around a bit.

The squirrels are starting to prance around the yard, tease the dogs and race around the tree trunks (hmmmm wonder if they are just playing or .......!!) Oh well, I love the fuzzy little critters even if my two doggies don't.  They love to chase them though. Then there is the mama raccoon that brings her babies every year.  They are cute as buttons. Last year she thought she needed to live under the house but I fixed her wagon and blocked the entrance when she was "out and about".  They love to wash their hands in the dog water dish.  I found that out when I kept needing to change the water on a daily basis because it was always muddy!

I am also thinking that this may be the year I see the little fairies that live in the big cedar tree in the backyard....   Hey, you have to believe in them before you can see them.  I will be watching and you will be among the first to know.....

Here's wishing everyone a very wonderful day.  Keep your family and friends close for they will share the good times and help you through the bad times too.

Well, how did I do for my first post?  Suggestions welcome for improvements to the blog and for class album ideas too.

Hope to see you all on the 27th from 1pm-5pm. The project is an album called Sunny Days, Good Times and Fine Friends.  The cost for project is $25.00.  Lots of embellishments, ribbons and room for your fun photos.  Snacks will be served.  You can email me at :  tsurratt@wavecable.com for more information and address. Pre-payment is appreciated.

Love to all family, friends and friends I haven't met yet!
